Generative Art Criticism

Whilst sharing my initial browser-based artworks, I made an effort to critically engage with works by other artists on the platform the works were available on- fxhash. This was realised in the fx(fortnightly) newsletter of which there was 6 issues released from February - April 2022. The newsletter was hosted on Revue which was owned by twitter who shut it down in 2023. In addition to critique, each newsletter issue provided resources for creative code practitioners at a similar stage in artist development as myself. I also provided resources for academics/researchers who wanted to better contextualise the rise in popularity of browser-based generative art. I have no plans to revive the newsletter but I'm currently putting the previous issues into a simple markdown blog which I'll probably host on a GitHub pages. The link for which will be here soon.
